In December, The Haven conducts its annual “Adopt-A-Family” program to provide a special Christmas to victims of family violence and sexual assault. The event begins at the end of November and lasts all the way until Christmas Eve. Haven staff and volunteers move to a temporary “drop-off site” and organized and wrapped the gifts for the women and children. Our “community elves” worked diligently to ensure that our clients would have their special Christmas.
We were overjoyed by the support of local businesses, individuals, and volunteers during the holiday season, and we are truly appreciative of all the generosity we experienced from our community.
In 2016 The Haven provided wish lists for 60 families and 101 Children. We look forward to providing more families Christmas with your help!
